Birgitta
and Sven Monthén has been the owners of Störsby Yard since 1985. The
couple is the third generation since the yard was bought to the family
in 1933.
The total
area of the yard is 195 ha, 55 ha are cultivated and 140 ha is forest.
Farming
The owner
couple has practiced farming since 1985. Mainly the farming consists of
grain and oil plants. Until the year 2005 also sugar roots was
cultivated on the yard.
Turkeys
Since the
year 1989 the yard has had a breed of turkeys. The chicken comes to the
yard as a day old under the summer months. The turkeys are sold to
Christmas directly from the yard. Also guests at the yard are served
this delicacy.
